She is currently the coordinator of Indian Education and Gifted and Talented programs for the Port Huron Area School District. Sharon has many years of experience working Title IX parent committees, parental involvement issues and the implementation of cultural enrichment programs for the Port Huron Area Schools. She is also the Chairperson of the American Indian Communities Leadership Council which promotes cultural educational programming for Native Students and community members in the southeastern Michigan area. She has worked with the US Dept of Education as field reader and served as a Michigan Delegate to the White House Conference on Indian education. Sharon serves on many local boards in her community and is a tremendous advocate for Native issues, |
